Woke up, grabbed some breakfast and drove from the motel to the trailhead. I knew the day of the climb (8/7/20 Friday) we'd be arriving early morning, in the dark. I figured the 14 miles on the 160 East and then the 10 miles on the 150 North would not be a big deal. But it is where you turn East on BLM road 5415 for 2.5 miles that could be the sketchy part. Yes sedans can make it but I wouldn't take 'my' sedan up that stretch.
For Peace of mind, I was glad I did it in the daytime.
